The Deed Poll Service Comparison Test

Deed Poll

The Product

The information contained in the above graph was sourced from mySupermarket on 02 April 2008. You can clearly see that the Mr. Kipling Cakes are the same product that is available at both Tesco and Sainsbury's, however, at Tesco they cost more than they do at Sainsbury's. This test can be applied to Deed Polls - same product, different price!

About other Deed Poll Providers

Be aware that there are some unscrupulous online-traders. If you decide to obtain a Deed Poll download/template, we advise you to check that the website offers a telephone number and address to which you can send future correspondence. Such templates are seldom worded correctly, thus some do not carry sufficient legal authority to allow a change of name in the United Kingdom.

Deed Polls that are sent by post have been individually written and are tailored to the customers' specification, thus the wording is correct.

There are a number of very reputable Deed Poll providers trading online that charge in excess of £25 for a Deed Poll. In the UK the law does not regulate the amount that can be charged. It doesn't matter how much you decide to pay because all Change of Name Deeds are the same.

Whether you decide to pay £10, £20, £30 or even £45, the Home Office Identity and Passport Service will confirm that ALL Change of Name Deeds do the same job!
